Not for me either but the 8.45 am DUB-JFK AA flight and the short MCT allows connection to the 12.30 pm JFK-LAX arriving in LAX at a comfortable 3.31 pm. If you're so inclined, you can then take the 4.50 pm flight to HNL arriving at 7.35 pm or, as I would prefer, just rest overnight before an early flight the next morning.
