What did they take away?

I'm not sure why everyone here expects the vendors on these projects to just have 69 aircraft worth of cabin fixtures laying around waiting on Delta. These projects take months to years of lead times. Plenty of other airlines are putting IFE systems on aircraft around the world, Delta can't just jump in front of them to get the systems they want.

To me it was short sighted not to have some kind of IFE on the airplanes in the first part, but they are apparently going to fix that issue.

Its no different than ordering an airplane, sometimes you have to wait in line.
