For example, if you have a charge for $61 you can redeem for the full value of the charge (since it is less than your point value), thus you get a $61 credit and the rest of your points are useless.

If you had a $100 charge, you could only redeem for it in $25 increments, so you could redeem for a credit of $50 and the rest of the points would again remain in your account.
