I'm not sure what's childish about it, from an accounting perspective the miles became a liability for them in Q2 and it seems reasonable they wanted to account for them as such. It seems generous to me that they dated them as late as they did and not June 12, 2015 (the day the promotion ended) or the actual day we completed the steps to earn the miles.
