Back in Jan 2012 or 13 when we had that big day of cancellations due to snow, my Mrs and I were at the front of the line for baggage claims at JFK.
We filled in a form, were asked to pick the closest match from some luggage mugshots and sent on our way with two prepaid cards with $300 each on them.
Flight was in F but paid with Avios.
