Inbound from Dublin next Friday morning (T5 0905) need to transfer to T3 for AA 109 (1215) we both have HBO - UK passports - is it quicker to exit through arrivals and catch the tube/train to T3 then re-clear security (will have FastTrack for what it's worth these days). Thank you.
I did that transfer last week. If you come in to a B or C gate, get to 5B and take the elevator to the top where you can get the bus direct to T3. You don't even need a boarding pass - but even if you do you will need to line up after clearing security and I don't think there is a fast track option there.
I landed at a C gate, got to 5B, walked straight onto a bus and was in T3 about 20 mins after landing. Cleared security within 5 mins and then joined the queue for United/AA which took about 45 mins. So the transfer itself can be done fairly quickly, I assume you have the same options from the main T5 area but I'm sure others can confirm.
