I stayed at the Grand President as recommended and we were really happy. It's a executive rental apartment set. price was good. See my Bkk thread from last Nov if interested.

BUT....

Nothing compares to the Peninsula Hotel. We paid $120US by checking thier web site before phoning. One of the nicest hotel stays in my life!
