Its not that im not man enough to get naked, im relaxed about my body but its the embarrassment as well that am I adhering to correct protocol eg-: in Germany I had no idear I had to place my feet on the towel and not the wooden benches. I guess the Europeans just take r sauna and chill out time a lot more serious than us Brits, but hey at the end of the day one of the most fascinating things I find about travel is discovering how culturally different the world is!
it took me a few years of going to austrian ski resorts before i could bring myself to enter the naked wellness areas - so well done for adapting so quickly !
just to say that many of the saunas/steam rooms have different rules - sometimes you have to pick up a piece of paper outside which you then sit on ... sometimes you are expected to wash down your area before / after ...
whilst the germans / austrians often sound grumpy when they tell you off - i suspect that some of them enjoy pulling up ignorant foreigners !
don't give up ... just stand back and watch what other people are doing ...
