seem like these changes make a lot of sense - as would scrapping priority boarding for Bronze card holders

I fail to see how tagging bags does anything other than waste time and lead to longer queues - I rarely use check in desks so how is this going to be policed?
At the gate? = longer queues.
At the aircraft entrance? = longer queues.
