No lightening and not particularly heavy rain, though by all means it was rain and not just drizzle. I wouldn't call the best part of 2 hours a short delay at that time of night when there were no other planes being offloaded, and neither did the BA staff who were frantically trying to get hold of anyone, however at least the bags did turn up eventually.

I didn't and am not complaining, merely sharing my experience and the impressions I got from BA staff, as my experience of the bags taking a while to appear is consistent with the OPs and might indicate a trend in Edi at that time of night.
