OP is not able to port their Swiss Cent over to US Cent because Swiss it is not currently transferrable to US via Global Transfer. Both Australia and Japan are on the listed of countries transferrable to the US.

I agree getting an ICC card is a reasonable option at this point for OP. Maybe they could use someone else's address or in most cases when people move they have mail forwarding so its still possible in many cases to use an old address.
