We can all write to Santa Claus, and this thread is about as useful as a thread about "What do I saw to the two 23-year-old hotties two tables away to get them to come home with me?" (In practice the answer is kind of the same, as it is with anything else in life, nothing comes for free.)

That said, I have hardly ever flown AA, I'm a US Legacy, and it does seem like the gap between 50K and 100K is large. US used to not only have more intervals, but "halfway" bonuses. DL has rollover miles. If you fly less than 100K/yr, your upgrade chances are extremely limited. Unless I'm missing something (and I could be) gold and plat get the same UG privileges, although plat clears first, but still the same number of stickers. Maybe they could be a little more generous with stickers for plats than gold?
