For future reference

In case others want to search for info on Hilton MAD

I got the following transportation info from the hotel front desk in 2 emails exchange. (I could not see how one could walk from metro station to the hotel as the Google Earth view shows no pedestrian bridge over the freeway so I had to ask clarification.)

We provide a free shuttle to the city center every day, it is upon request and depends the availability, and the times table are: 9:50 - 11:15-12.15 and the last one at 18:30. We drop you off at the Puerta de Alcalá and we do not make pick ups to come back to the Hotel from the city center.

The near metro station is alameda de osuna the end of green line.

Walking back from Alameda de Osuna is a 10 minute easy walk, it is a really safe area and you just need to cross a bridge over the high way, maybe that does not appear in Google Maps. When you arrive we will show you a map that we provide and give the directions for you to get to and from that station.

There is not a taxi stop next to the metro station but if you see a taxi with a green light on top you can flag him and he would bring you for around 7 euro.

BTW, I really appreciate HHonors and IHG have the function of "email us" on their properties, versus it is like pulling teeth from tiger's mouth to get the email address of a Marriott property... When you call Marriott customer service for an email address of a property, they query you what is the purpose...
