Groombridge's report is from 2010, I can speak from experience that the desks have a built in access to power receptacles in the surface of the desk. You push down and the receptacles pop up. It's been this way since at least 2012, I of course haven't been in every room and suite but considering Hilton's fondness for uniformity in design I believe the desks are simiilar throughout. If there was a Gold Coast Suite with only a shower in 2010, it has been remodeled since Hilton took over as the Gold Coast Suites all have showers and soaking tubs.
The classification of the rooms and suites has changed since it was the Elysian.
The desk did have a built in power center. Alas, not reachable from the bed, however.
