After 7 on a weekday until midnight you can park on the street on 52nd W of 3rd (around the corner) using a Muni Meter, thereafter free till 8 AM then you can park till midnight Sat using the Muni Meter. Same on Sun and 7AM Mon the spot turns into a pumpkin. Very uncrowded on weekends and very near (50 yds or less) from the Courtyard. I parked there on Christmas Day and didn't even have to feed the meter. BTW the Courtyard is cheap on Priceline.
