I was able to take advantage of this thread for my first MR.
CHA-ATL-LAX (stopovernight) LAX-MSP-ANC
returning two days later: ANC-MSP (redeye) -LAX-ATL-CHA
Got it for Dec trip at $520 = 4cpm and a total of 13,000 MQM to put me into Diamond.

I've noticed over the years that it is usually cheaper to fly out of a connection airport than out of ATL direct. Occasionaly, it is terribly obvious to fly out of ATL instead of connection. From Chat, it's two hours to BNA, TYS, BHM and HSV which commonly have connections thru ATL, yet cheaper than the same 2hr drive to Hartsfield (coupled with parking rates and TSA Pre lines longer than then entire concourse in Chat!)
