A few questions on banking points.
I have a Prestige card and just opened a CitiGold account for the 40K TYP bonus
1)Is it correct that the TYP earned as a banking bonus cannot be transferred or otherwise co-mingled with credit card points?
2) Is it also correct that the checking account must remain open to retain the points?
3) So if I want to close the banking account asap to avoid the $30 monthly fee I better cash out the banking bonus points first?
I am really looking for a way to sit on the points, but that does not look to be possible without either tying up a bunch of money at Citibank or paying the monthly fee. Any insights appreciated.
