I can't see the sidetables in the picture of the bed that you posted here. The perspective is from the head of the bed looking toward the foot and you may have cropped out some of it.

I would certainly agree, I would miss those things too. I haven't experienced this there yet but I am scheduled to be back next month and will ask someone about this.
