I've flown on the 77W in both J and F multiple times. J is arguably as good as any carrier and F is certainly competitive.
Never been in either QF J/F or AA 77W J/F, but from the looks AA J is much better in terms of the seat. Not sure about the food, but I care more about seat comfort. Every seat having aisle access is very nice.
