You won't go hungry in NY. Try the $14.00 (or so) lunch special at Sarge's Deli on 2nd ave and 35th street. Soup, an entrée from a long list, fries and a drink. They'll carry you out.

$25 - $40 mains that may be a better 'investment' at a nice place if you're not interested in an appy and a dessert. YMMV.
