About 9 months ago, I had a battle with a taxi driver who didn't have EZ Pass (going from LGA to Manhattan). I asked him why not, and he got very confrontational. ("Why are you asking me that? I told you I don't have it!") We had to wait in a long cash line at the Midtown Tunnel, then I wanted to pay only the EZ Pass toll. Anyway, he was super-nasty, so I reported him to the TLC. He and I appeared at a hearing a few months later, and he was fined $150.
