UA doesn't issue mBP for any codeshare flights (yet) and if you're ineligible for mBP on at least one leg, it won't offer it for whole itinerary (all or nothing approach). Int'l is simply hit or miss, there are still a lot of int'l stations/countries that do not allow mBP for travel.
that's the reason, thanks....our first segment is on UA metal to GVA, second on Aegean to Athens...Interestingly enough, I was able to get Aegean Mobile boarding passes for their flight, but we have paper only for EWR-GVA on UA...not a big deal, but frustrating wasting time trying to go thru process again both on PC and iphone App to get the mobile passes.
