stayed one night govt rate on weekday as platinum IHG.

platinum recognized on each trip to front desk. was told i was "upgraded" to some sort of room other than base but i don't see what the upgrade was. had a shower and a soaking tub so maybe that was it? wife and i stayed in room (2 listed on reservation) and turndown service was given with one mint. i didn't really care or expect anything but found that odd.

everyone overly helpful and friendly, as usual. self parking $24 and is probably much faster than valet.

note on govt rate: i was asked for my ID (checked in at IHG desk off to side). fortunately i am govt and did remember to bring it with me on a one night leisure stay.

did not opt for $25 breakfast buffet. walked across the street to chick fil a for a spicy chicken biscuit. plenty of dining options within walking distance.

no complaints at all, aside from parking - which is just a known when staying in Buckhead and not part of room rate.
