I'm pretty much sure it allows multiple entries with 90 consecutive days each, but not more than 90 days in 180. So the practical limit is 180 days in a year.
Anyway, if you would be more than 180 days in Europe over a year there might be tax implications...
Best double check at a consulate, just use any Schengen country which has a consulate in your country. They should be able to give you exact information on the phone.
