Opened RC card 01/15 and met 10k spend before statement closing date in 02/15. I received my Ritz Gold card that indicated my status was good until 02/17.
Edit: When I reached Platinum, my card indicated the same date as well.
You got the Gold status irrelevant to the spend, as the first year gets Gold anyway. The spend will kick in on 01/16 and than your status will go till 02/18 (if you were not Platinum).
