For ridiculously picky reasons, this JW is a 4.5 star hotel.

I enjoyed my stay and would come back every time. I agree with everyone else about the politeness and helpfulness of the staff. The restaurant had great breakfasts and great food in general. Lots of party atmosphere and lounge/jazz music wafting through the hotel's grand atrium that reaches all floors.

My .5 point takeaway is due to no slippers in room (have to ask), missing JW bathroom amenities (not at this hotel), and the pool area was not as well maintained as all other JW's I have been to. I found dirty items left around the pool and multiple bandaids floating in the water all day. The pool staff was making the rounds but they were not looking at the condition. Plus, the wet Sauna was not working for four days.

I happened to be there when the executive lounge policy changed from a 24-hour access lounge to a limited hours lounge and this bugged me at the time. However, I now realize that many or most Marriott's of every kind have similar policies. The hotel said people were getting frisky in the middle of the night which caused their new lounge policy. I hear elsewhere it is due to Marriott cutting back. Whether corporate or members taking advantage... no coffee at 5:00 am any more at this hotel. The only option was to get more room coffee pot kits. They did not have any in the lobby area.
