The Animal Kingdom Lodge is adjacent to the Animal Kingdom theme park and the only Disney transportation to that resort is the bus system.

Disney only has three hotels served by the monorail (the Grand Floridian, Polynesian and Contemporary) and no plans to add more.

Be aware that many of the rooms at the Animal Kingdom Lodge do not have views of the Savannah...you must specifically request that view (at a significantly higher rate) when booking.

There are great deals being offered at Disney properties for the months of Sept. and Oct. under the "Fall Fling" special. Many, many rooms at all the resorts are going for an unbelievable half price. Be warned that it is hurricane season in Florida during that time.

The Disney website at www.disneyworld.com has finally been updated and upgraded, and you can now book hotel reservations there. The site offers good rate/room comparisons for all of the Disney hotels.
