We are arriving at the Venice port and I'd like to know the most efficient way to get to St. Marks Square where we can catch the shuttle boat for the JW Marriott Venice resort located on Isola Delle Rose. I've read a bit, but without a good sense of the city, it's hard to decide.

Also, we will be spending some time in the Dolomites and I'm wondering which hikes you would recommend. We are experienced hikers.
