People check boxes of seafood every day at YVR. Very popular for people to bring home fresh salmon and halibut, especially if they've just spent a few days fishing in the Queen Charlottes.

As long as they're packaged well and meet size guidelines, boxes are fine as checked baggage. Oversized boxes will need to be shipped as cargo.
