Slippahs--Howzit?

Best flight experience--Northwest Detroit-SFO-HNL in 2000. Cost my wife and I only 60,000 FFM for First. We had a 90 minute layover in San Fran. When we got back on board the DC-10, the FA passed out leis and Mai Tais. This was our first trip to the islands and it really set the tone for our vacation and exposed us to a little of the Aloha spirit before arriving in HNL.

Worst--this past trip to Hawai'i on the same darn plane. Flying on Northwest Detroit--LAX--HNL, except we were in coach this time. I thought that row 22 or 10 would be good seats, either A&B or H&J. Row 10 was taken and we got stuck in 22 A&B. My wife's seat was great, 22B. My warning to any Flyertalker, do not ever take seat 22A or 22J. Not only is the emergency exit slide protruding out to block your legs, but the magazine pocket is positioned right next to your shoulder. It is the most cramped seat on the plane. That was a long 5 hours. Also, our flight in Detroit was 2 hours late taking off so when it landed we ran to the LAX--HNL flight. All 300 people on the plane were already nice and cozy in their seats and every single overhead compartment was full. Still, these events were small sacrifices to suffer to make it to the islands!
