Update: I sent an email to the GM yesterday telling him how bad the bed was in our room and how we got little sleep. My point was to let him know he needed new beds, not to get anything, nor did I ask for anything.
I got a lovely email this morning expressing regret that our bed was so bad and explaining there were new beds on order which should arrive in a month or so. He was also going to send the housekeeping manager to look at it to see if anything could be done in the short term.
He offered some compensation, which is appreciated. But again, I didn't ask for anything. I still really like this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to go back or to recommend it.
