Has been for me on that route and all seems to work well. I usually get an email a few days before the flight to tell me of my options for entertainment.

If you visit here: https://www.united.com/web/en-US/con...rtainment.aspx you can enter your flight status within 24 hours of your flight to check.

As an example, If I do that for today (funnily enough it tells me it is taxiing to the runway as it is 1025-ish) it gives me this:

"Wi-Fi access is available for purchase, and free personal device entertainment is offered. Please download the latest United app prior to boarding. Premium cabins feature seatback on-demand entertainment. United EconomyŽ features mainscreen entertainment and audio programming. On Channel 9, listen to live communications between the cockpit and air traffic control."

I bolded the bit that you should definitely do before the airport.
