Hi, I was wondering how the agreements with other airlines works. For example, if I were to fly air France would there be a cost and is it the same with most airlines? Also, are zed fares standby? And also do you ever get to go first class with the other airlines?

I worked at the airline in Airport Operations for two years and loved it. Something different everyday. For AO crewmembers each station will have a local agreement with multiple carriers that serve the airport. So, if our airline does not fly somewhere you want to go, you just get tickets on the other carrier. We also have agreements with many intl carriers, including but not limited to eticket agreements with Air France, Emirates, paper ticket agreements with Lufthanasa, American, etc...
