Is now ridiculously too early to make the ask for next April? I'm inclined to just try anyway. Not like I have anything to lose, and I can always call back around New Years to reiterate the request (or make it if they refuse to put me on the list now).
No point in doing that since they can't do anything about it that far out. I called concierge when it still seemed to get results for French Laundry 2 months and 1 day out from the date I wanted. I got the news the following afternoon that my reservation had been placed (exactly 2 months out).
