Is there a limit to how far in advance you can call the concierge with a request?

Would like reservations at French Laundry. I know they only open their books 2 months out, but I believe the Amex Concierge also maintains a list of people they will attempt reservations for right at the 2 month mark.

Is now ridiculously too early to make the ask for next April? I'm inclined to just try anyway. Not like I have anything to lose, and I can always call back around New Years to reiterate the request (or make it if they refuse to put me on the list now).
