I gay dance club that would have such a strict dress code seems pretty upscale and exclusive. I'm not aware of any in London. If you are talking about wearing "trainers", normal pants, and a "snapback" (baseball cap), I don't see how that would get you denied entry. Or how that would make someone think you are a Chav. In many places, that would be considered "gay chic" for the younger crowd.
