Available United Flights not appearing in Aeroplan
Folks - I have long used Aeroplan to book flights on United, since I can transfer AMEX flights to Aeroplan and use them to get an award ticket. Previously, if a flight was available for a "saver" award on United's website for non-premier United Mileage Plus members (i.e., those with no status), then it automatically was available as a star alliance award through Aeroplan at the classic/fixed level.
This time I checked on an available flight from BWI to LAX, and all that Aeroplan offered were nightmare 13 plus hour stopover flights for several weeks, even though many non-stop saver awards were available on United. I even checked ANA to see if other star alliance flights showed availability of the non-stop flights, which ANA did (ANA does not do one way award flights, unlike Aeroplan, and it requires a few more miles for its standard awards, which is why I am not using it for this one way trip).
Have other folks had this problem? Is this the new Aeroplan?
