This priority lane is on the right. The regular line on the left. The central line is for fast-track paying guests. And it was empty.

Manchester is the only airport I've been through with three security lines. Or three lines I've noticed.

i think what has happened is the queues have been re-aligned, and those of us fast-tracked as a perk have been allocated the priority line, leaving fast-track the exclusive preserve of Those Who Pay.
MAN T1 had three security lines for quite a while now. This is a photo taken in August 2014.

The fast track consisted of two lanes: priority lane ("by invitation only") on the left for frequent flyers and those who paid £3.50, assistance lane on the right for passengers with a wheelchair, a pushchair, visual or hearing impairment, or carrying a musical instrument! What seems to have happened in recent weeks was to move frequent flyers from the left (middle) to the right lane.

Were you, the seniors and chuggers all in the same lane? It sounds as if at least the chuggers should have been in the middle lane unless they someone managed to join the assistance lane without paying £3.50 each.

At least they seem to have abandoned the idea of a vending machine for fast track access at the entrance to security as I haven't seen it in operation since the photo was taken last summer.
