I had an awkward and quite nasty situation at Hilton CDG.
My wife and 2 year old son were in the room. I went to lounge and asked/ explained and left with two glasses of white wine- hardly excessive.
There was security outside the lounge (how?) who then frogmarched me into the lift, and took me to reception. I asked in English and French what was going on, but they didn't speak. I told them in English and French to let go of me, still clutching the glasses of wine.
I was then deposited at reception, words were exchanged and I was told I could keep the wine but don't do it again...... the duty manager was "not available" and despite lodging a written complaint, I never got an apology.
Glad to say my only experience of this, and I haven't used this hotel since. To say it ruined the stay is an understatement.
