Are you on a oneworld carrier out of SFO? If so, it's best to add PHX-XXX-SFO on AA/US flights, but not on AS. If you include even one AS flight on the award and then want to substitute a PHX-SFO nonstop, you'll be subject to the $150 change fee (unless you have EXP status).
