I wanted to bring a friend to the U.S. from Thailand, and the U.S. cartels wanted crazy money for a BKK/LAX ticket in J.

Shopped Priceline and snagged a $3k (+/-) fare on OZ, which included the A380 ICN-LAX, and the flight earned UA miles to boot.
