If you're so satisfied, I suspect you haven't had a taste of some of the American Eagle flights operated by Mesa flying DFW-IAH/HOU. Mesa is one of the little "perks" of the merger with US. The AE Mesa operations are an absolute shambles----many hours late if it runs at all. Mesa seems absolutely inept at having their crews actually meet one of their planes that is supposed to go to Houston. In April I had three out of three trips an absolute nightmare getting back DFW-HOU. The part of the American Eagle terminal occupied by the Mesa planes is always absolute bedlam with a string of gate after gate of delayed flights. Interestingly enough the Mesa operation to DFW seems to be much better than that leaving DFW to Houston. I'm still flying AA over UA for the most part but everytime I'm sitting in DFW as the next rolling delay is announced I wonder how much more I can take of that mess in DFW. So as bad as UA is, AA is no picnic... at least not for me so far.
