I think you'll be successful! I've had a good experience with Chase benefit services in the past with appeals usually being approved. Never had to do it for Trip delay but I can't imagine it wouldn't be approved. They usually think people won't appeal and go through the hassle but just keep fighting and you will get it!
Update on my claim:
I just received an email from the claims department saying they had reviewed my documentation, found it in order and have approved my claim. I should receive a check within 7 days.
I'm glad I decided to persevere after they initially denied the claim. $350 is no small chunk of change!
All told, from submitting the claim to final resolution took about 6 weeks.
