Flew in to GEG midday today and it was exceptionally turbulent landing. Flew out later in the afternoon and two flights cancelled so was moved to a new flight at 4:40 on a 737. Major turbulence again on takeoff, so much so that I was motion sick but really thankful to be on a big plane this time. There wasn't any weather or wind, so what was it? I'm curious if the afternoon flights were cancelled due to the conditions or if it was just an unrelated fluke. I haven't felt sick like that on a plane in a long time!
have not flown in our out of GEG lately but if it's especially hot today the turbulence might have to do with rapidly rising air columns due the heat
