Anyhow the law is the law. In France, it is often the prefecture or municipality that sets these laws. In IDF, it was in the news a couple years ago that they banned the "burkini" for hygiene reasons. That got a reaction even though I've never seen a burkini in France as I have in other parts of the world.
Sweeping assertions in the quoted section? No. Rather both of my sentences are narrowly-targeted, factual claims.

A person doesn't need to be a doctor or scientist to properly access information from qualified experts who are one or both of the mentioned roles. And even if one is either one or both of those by training and profession, there are still ways to properly access information from qualified experts who are one or both of the mentioned and arrive at the same conclusion.

The post, like my questions about the public health aspect of attire/accessories in swimming pools and water parks and saunas (saunas being in a different category of course), were based on contributions from a few health/public health and water safety experts in this area.

I find it amusing how this kind of science-based challenging of culturally-rooted claims/biases about pool/waterpark and sauna wear meets such skepticism in the modern world, but such is the way of the world where cultural baggage/bias is what it is.
