Well both are tourist resorts, so I doubt that businesses making money out of tourists will be closed! Restaurants will be generally open normally (some that cater mainly for office workers may be closed), so there's no risk of starving.
This is a religious holiday so there will be religious services in many churches. That's not to say churches will be closed, but there may be some restrictions on access and timings.
