I would not do this.. besides that moondog already told it will leave a bad mark in your file. If they figure out that you didnt miss your flight by accident (and given what you state, they certainly can..) but the whole thing being planed from the start, it will get you trouble into aquiring further Chinese visa and/or using TWOV. Get a visa or move your departure (or arrival) flight so it will be conform with TWOV
That's pretty much what I expected, thanks. I used to overstay visas in Malaysia and Thailand all the time and immigration would just take a few $$$ each time, they couldn't care less. I don't visit China often, but don't want to get in their bad book.
