the Kihei area on Maui is probably the most economical and plentiful when it comes to condos. They can be had for $60+ a night, and that's across the street from the ocean! Yes, you will need a car to get there, but once youre there there's plenty in terms of shopping, dining, and the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen (IMHO)

Even if you end up renting from a company who charges you the under-25 surcharge, you'll make up for it with the savings on the condo price. There's no need to spend 200$ in kihei on a condo, unless you're looking for something of the Wailea-type (fancy schmancy with prices to match.)
