Both of you should get a Chase Ink 2*50k which would get you to 180k and then a CSP would add up to 220k plus around 10k from your min spend only 10k needed ( 2k in gift cards at staples) to fly United
Advantage is that you can still transfer into another program ( or get United Cards for more points).
