I went in April, family of 4. We had no problem getting four round-trip seats on AA with SAAver awards (40k miles each), leaving out of JFK.
There are a few good offers out there on AA cards. I definitely know of a 75k + 50k offer you can get which will put you 75% of the way there on flights.
